AVAL PAYASAM


INGREDIENTS

1 liters of  milk 
½ cup of thick aval 
½ cup sugar
1 teaspon ghee
½ teaspoon cardamom powder
¼ cup of dry fruits
Quarter cup of condensed milk.

PROCEDURE
Take a spoon of ghee in a small pan and roast the cashewnuts . Keep this aside.
Wash the aval well with water. Drain water and keep aside.
Boil milk in a  pan and add the washed aval to the milk and simmer the milk until it becomes thick and the aval is cooked completely
Now add  the sugar, cardamom powder and the saffron and give a mixture a stir and  until the sugar dissolves.
You can also add quarter cup of condensed milk for a nice creamy texture.
Serve it hot or cold.
