TANGY TASTY LEMON RASAM



Ingredients:

toor dhal boiled half cup
tomato 1 chopped
2 green chillies
tamarind water quarter cup
Pepper powder                    
Coriander leaves                                                   
rasam powder                   
Half a lemon

For seasoning:


Ghee        1tsp

Mustard seeds   1 tsp
curry leaves

Method:


 Pressure cook the toor dal.

Cut the chillies and keep it aside. Chop the tomatoes into small cubes.
In a kadai pour some ghee add the chillies ,tomatoes,rasam powder,pepper powder,salt , tamarind paste and one cup of water  and cook till the tomatoes becomes soft and mushy .
Add some more water and add the cooked dhal . Let it boil for 4-5 minutes. 
 Add the chopped coriander leaves .
 Squeeze the lemon juice into thE RASAM  AFTER IT IS COOLED COMPLETELY .(IF SQUEEZED WHEN IT IS HOT THE RASAM MIGHT TASTE BITTER.)
In a small pan, add the ghee , mustard seeds and  curry leaves. 
Enjoy it with hot rice.
