TOMATO GARLIC CHUTNEY


Ingredients:
Tomatoes, ripe – 2
Garlic pods – 15 to 20
Whole dry red chilies – 8 to 10
sambhar powder 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urad dal – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Salt – to taste
Oil – 1 tsp

Instructions:
Chop the tomatoes finely. Peel the garlic and keep it ready.
Add garlic pods and sauté over low flame till it changes color slightly
Add the chopped tomatoes, salt and  grind to a smooth paste using little water.
Heat the  pan with oil. Add mustard seeds and when they splutter, add urad dal and curry leaves and  sambhar powder roast for 10 seconds.
Add the ground chutney,  garlic pods mix well and let it cook for 10 to 15 mins till the oil starts coming up.
Transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot with idly or dosa
