TASTY TOMATO PULAV




INGREDIENTS

Spices required for making powder

Dried red chilies  2
Coriander seeds  1 tsp
Split chana dal  1 ½ tsp
Split urad dal – 2 teaspoon
Asafetida  a generous pinch

Other ingredients needed
 rice – 2 cups boiled
Oil – 1 tablespoon
Mustard seeds – ½ teaspoon
Onion – 1  cup of chopped
Curry leaves – 5-6
Green chilies 2 nos chopped finely
Tomato – 4 nos finely chopped
Salt – to taste

METHOD

Fry red chili, chana dal, urad dal and coriander seeds in a  pan on a medium flame

 Grind them into fine powder.

Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.

Then add chopped onions, green chilies and curry leaves.

Cook till onions becomes transcluscent.

Add the chopped  tomates a and salt. Mix well.

Cook till all the moisture from tomato evaporates and oil starts to leave from the sides.

Add spice powder.

Mix well.

Add cooked rice.Mix well and serve hot.
