Rasgulla is a home made cottage cheese which is steamed and soaked in a sugar syrup . I like the soft ,spongy ,juicy texture of the sweet which is mouth watery.
It is one of our family's favourite dessert which is almost prepared on all Diwalis.
INGREDIENTS
Milk
sugar
lemon juice
cardomom powder
PROCEDURE
Take a pan and boil the milk.
Wait till the milk boils completely.
Now add the lemon juice.
Now the milk and the chenna gets seperated.
Take a strainer cloth and keep it above the vessel and now pour the chenna .
This is the home made paneer. Wash the paneer with the cold water to remove the lime juice taste.
Squeeze out the excess water and tie it and allow it to dry for a minimum of 3 hours .
Make it like a soft dough aand keep it aside.
Now roll it like a balls and keep it ready.
Take a cooker add sugar (2 cups) add 6 to 7 cups of water.
Add the paneer balls inside it.
Cover the lid and cook for only 1 whistle in a high flame.
Wait till the steam goes off completely.
Yummy rasagullas are ready.
