masal vadai

Masal vadai is a very tasty dish which is prepared not only during festival times but also as a snack item.

It goes well with   a cup of tea.




Ingredients

1 cup chenna dhal
Quarter cup raw rice
Curry leaves
Oil
Green chillies
Salt
Asafoetida
Turmeric powder

Procedure



Soak the chenna dhal and the raw rice for a minimum of  2 hours
Drain the water completely. 
Take a blender add the dhal , rice , curry leaves , salt , , turmeric powder , , asafoetida , green chillies and blend. 
Do not make it into a fine paste.
Make it a coarse paste.
Now add the chopped onions.





Make it into a round balls. 

Heat oil in the pan.
Deep fry it .
