BOHIRI KHICHIDI

Bohiri khichidi is  other wise called as Dhal chawal.

It is one of the rich dish of  Bohiri community in Gujarat .it is ine if tge best to do dish on a hectic day




Ingredients needed for making paste 

Raw onions chopped
2 green chillies
2 red chillies
Jeera 
3 to 4 cloves of garlic





 Take all  the ingredients in a blender and make it into a soft paste.

 Other ingredients

Basmati rice 1 cup
Half cup toor dhal
Onions
Curd 1 cup
Ghee
Oil
Salt
2 thinly sliced onions. 

Procedure

Take a pan put ghee jeera ,onion s and fry nicely. 


Cook dhal , rice and allow it to cool. 


Once the onion are completely cooked add tge the red paste fry fir 2 mins and niw add curd abd again cook for 5 minutes. 


 Take a microwave plate put sliced onions little oil and microwave for 5 mins so that your onions turns crispy. 

Take a glass bowl apply ghee , fried onions and start layering. 

First put some rice and dhal. 

Now add the cooked red paste.

Again on the top if the paste add rice and start layering. 



Once the layering is done microwave for 5 mins .

After 5 mins wait for few minutes take plate and invert the bowl.



Your layered delicious baked rice is ready to be served.
