INGREDIENTS
Boiled Toor dhal with turmeric (half cup)tamarind one small lemon sized
readymade rasam powder 1 spoon
2 spoons coconut
jaggery small size
mustard seeds
pepper
ghee
jeera
asafoetida
coriander and curry leaves
salt
dhaniya powder
pepper
2 to 3 red chillies.
1 chopped tomato
PROCEDURE
Take a vessel pour some tamarind water.
Now add the boiled toor dhal water.
Add the chopped tomatoes
In a separate mixie jar add some ready made rasam powder, dhaniya powder,pepper, jeera, curry leaves,jaggery ,coconut salt and the red chillies.
Now add this paste into the rasam and mix it well.
Keep the vessel inside the cooker and wait for 2 whistles (in a medium flame)
Remove the vessel from the cooker.
In a separate tadka pan add some ghee allow it to heat up.
Add mustard seeds,jeera and asafoetida .
Once it splutters add it to the rasam.
Garnish it with coriander leaves.
NOW YOUR MYSORE RASAM OR UDIPI RASAM IS READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
