SIMPLE EASY TOMATO ONION TIFFIN SAMBHAR


INGREDIENTS
1 Chopped tomato
1 chopped onion
2 to 3 cloves garlic
jeera
mustard
oil
curry leaves
2 green chillies
asafoetida
1 small lemon sized tamarind
1 spoon sambhar powder
salt
1 cup smashed toor dhal

PROCEDURE
In a pan add oil and allow it to heat.
Add mustard seeds let it splutter now add curry leaves ,green chillies , asafoetida fry for about 2 mins
Now add  chopped onions and garlic and fry till it becomes translucent.
Add the chopped tomatoes and sambhar powder and fry for 2 mins
Add the tamarind water and salt allow it to boil for 7 to 8 mins.
Add turmeric and add the smashed toor dhal and allow it to boil for  7 to 8 mins.
Wait till the sambhar becomes thick.
Your sambhar is ready.
