Cooker Tomato Rasam



Rasam is one of the excellent SouthIndian soup which can be mixed with the rice.
It helps in digestion after eating a heavy meal. Let us see how to make yummy rasam for your family members fast in a cooker  .
( Note : while making rasam in the cooker do not keep the rasam directly in to the cooker instead first mix all the wet ingredients in a eversilver bowl and keep that into  the cooker )



INGREDIENTS

Halfcup toor dhal ( boiled with little turmeric)
2 tomatoes
One small lemon sized tamarind
Half spoon pepper
Half spoon jeera
1 spoon dhaniya powder
1 clove garlic
Dry red chillies  and salt according to your taste
Ready made rasam powder ( OPTIONAL) for having a extra magical taste)

PROCEDURE

First take  half cup of toordhal  and some turmeric and boil it for 4 to 5 whistles.
In a  small mixie jar add 2 tomatoes, garlic ,pepper, dhaniya, jeera, red chillies, salt and a spoon of readymade rasam powder .Now make it into a paste and keep it aside.
Now take a vessel add tamarind water grinded paste dhal water salt and mix well.
Keep it inside the cooker in a medium flame allow it to cook for 3 whistles .
Now in a tadka  pan add some ghee and to it  add some mustard seeds, jeera ,asafoetida and allow it to splutter. Mix it in the rasam.
Garnish it with some coriander leaves.
Now your rasam is ready to serve for your family.
