Malabar mixed vegetable kurma is an authentic kerala dish with the mix of various spices , vegetables and coconut milk.
It goes very well with dosa and chapatis.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup chopped onions
- quarter cup of chopped tomato
- chopped beans
- carrots chopped
- peas
- paneer
- chopped potato
- oil
- curry leaves
- patta
- cloves 2 nos
- quarter cup of coconut milk
- 1 spoon garam masala
- pinch of turmeric
- hing
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED FOR MAKING WHITE PASTE
- grated coconut 2 to 3 spoons
- roasted gram 2 spoons
- 2 green chillies
- jeera
- garlic and ginger
- kasa kasa
PROCEDURE
- Take a cooker pour some oil add jeera , hing, curry leaves , patta and fry.
- Add onions and fry till it becomes brown
- Add tomatoes also and fry for 2mins.
- Now add all the veggies and fry for about 2 mins.
- In a small mixer add all the ingredients mentioned under for making white paste and make it into a fine smooth paste pouring little oil.
- Add all the ground paste into the cooker ,salt ,little water, garam masala, turmeric and cook for 3 to 4 whistles.
- Once it is done open and allow it to cool for some time and all the coconut milk ,boil and atlast add some celantro.
- Serve hot.
