pudhina peanut chutney


Chutnies are all time favourite side dish for dosa ,idly ,rice etc.
Pudhina is one of the most aromatic leaf  which adds flavour to any dish when it is added.
Pudhina peanut chutney is a combination of pudhina , a lots of peanut and few dry nuts .




INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 cup pudhina leaves
  2. 1 spoon urad dhal
  3. 2 dry red chillies
  4. oil
  5. mustard seeds
  6. 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  7. 1 cup chopped onions
  8. quarter cup of ground nuts
  9. salt
  10. asafoetida
  11. 2 spoons of cashew nut seeds
  12. 1 spoon of roasted gram( pottu kadalai)
  13. pinch of turmeric 



PROCEDURE

  • Take  a pan pour some oil add mustard seeds , urad dhal, red chillies ,hing ,curry leaves allow it to splutter.
  • Now add ground nuts and fry well.
  • Add cashew and fry till it changes its colour.
  • Add chopped onions and fry till it becomes transclescent.
  • Add tomatoes ,turmeric ,salt and cover the pan with a lid and allow it to cook completely.
  • Add little water if needed.
  • Once it is cooked completely add pudhina leaves and fry for about 2 to 3 mins.
  • Allow it to cool .
  • Now take a blender add the cooked pudhina ,little water and roasted grams and make it into a fine paste.
  • Your PUDHINA PEANUT chutney is ready to taste.
