Spicy kara kozhukattai

Spicy kozhukattai or Pidi kozhukattai is a most delicious dish which is made out of raw rice and other spicy ingredients. 

It tastes good when it is eaten with pudhina chutney .
Lets check out how to make this dish.


Ingredients

Raw rice 
Salt
Oil
Mustardseeds
Curry leaves
Ginger paste
3 chopped green chillies
1 grated carrot
Coriander leaves
Asafoetida
2 tsp urad dhal
2 tsp chenna dhal

Procedure

Soak the raw rice for a minimum of 2 hours and grind it into a smooth paste.


 Take a heavy bottom or a non stick pan pour oil add mustard ,green chillies, ginger paste,  urad and chenba dhals, curryleaves, asafoetida, celantro , grated carrots and cook for about 2 mins.

Now add the finely grinded rice paste and stir continuously. 



When you stir continuously the paste becomes thick and becomes a ball like batter .
Allow it to cool down and make cylindrical shape kozhukattai s.




Take a steamer or a idly pan allow it to steam for about 10 mins.



 Remove it and serve hot with chutnies.
