TamilNadu Kalyana Vazhakkai Curry ( iyer style )

Vazhakkai curry or Raw banana curry is one of the most favouritediash for all.
Being a Brahmin we love to eat this kalyana vazhakkai curry with vendakkai morkuzhambu.

Lets check out how to make this iyer athu kalyana vazhakkai curry at home .



Ingredients

Raw banana chopped thick pieces
Oil
Mustard seeds
Curry leaves
Asafoetida
Greenchillies
Turmeric powder
Grated coconut
Salt
Urad dhal 1tsp


Procedure

Take a wide pan add the chopped raw banana .
Add water , salt , turmeric allow it to boil till it becomes soft .
Drain it using a strainer.





Take the same pan pour some oil add mustard seeds allow it to splutter.
Add urad dhal , curry leaves and green chillies.
Add asafoetida and fry .
Put the boiled banana pieces and fry well.
Now add the grated coconut and just cook for a sec .
Serve hot with morkuzhambu  or rasam .
