Rava Pongal


Pongal is one of the traditional tiffin of South India .
Usually pongalnis made out of rice and moongdhal.
But in this I have made it using rava or sooji and moong dhal .
It tastes so delicious and it is very easy to make too.
This pongal has a peculiar taste which makes us feel eat more and more .




Ingredients

1 cup sooji fried
Half cup boiled and mashed moongdhal
Ghee
Pepper 2 spons
Jeera 1 spoon
Curry leaves
Asafoetida
Ginger paste 1 spoon
Cashew nuts few
2 green chillies slit

Method

Boil and smash the moong dhal.
Now fry the rava nicely keep it aside.
Take a pan or cooker pour oil add jeera , greenchillies, hing, curryleaves, pepper, ginger paste  and fry nicely. 



Now add the boiled moong dhal and fry for 2 mins.
Add salt .


Now add water 1 cup rava 3 cups of water and boil for few mins.
Now add the fries sooji slowly and stir continues without forming any lumps.


Now take a tadka pan add ghee and some cashews and roast well. 
Add it to the pongal and enjoy it with chutney or sambhar.
