Ammani kozhukattai

Ammani kozhukati is a tasty food which is usually prepared during Vinayagar Charurthi.
During this festival we make the sweet kozhukattai and a spicy kozhukattai which is called ammani kozhukattai. 
It is very tasty , healthy and easy to prepare too.









Ingredients

Rice flour 1 cup 
Salt
Oil
Mustard seeds
Urad dhal
Chenna dhal 1 tsp
Green chillies
Asafoetida
Curry leaves
Celantro chopped
Moong dhal half cup 


Procedure

Make a soft dough with the rice flour.
( dough making procedure is clearly given in the recepie " SOFT POORNA KOZHUKATTAI ")




Make it into very small balls ans keep it ready.


Steam the kozhukattai balls using idly pan or any other steaming vessel and keep it ready.

Meanwhile soak the moongdhal with little water for a minimum of 20 mins .Drain it with a stainer.




Take a cup put this moong dhal add little salt , turmeric and boil it without adding water .

BOILING PROCEDURE

( pour water in the cooker and now keep the vessel which has moong dhal , salt and turmeric and pressure cook for 2 whistles )


After cooking allow it to vool down completely now take a mixie put this dhal add green chillies, curry leaves and make rough or a coarse paste.
Now the dhal will be in a powdered form.

Take a pan pour some oil add mustard seeds , green chillies, asafoetida, , curry leaves , chenna dhal, urad dhal and fry for 2 mins.

Now add the moongdhal mixture ans give it a quick stir.



Now add the boiled small kozhukattai and fry well atlaat add choppwd celantro serve hot.
